Sustainability is becoming a key aspect to compete in nowadays fashion market since customers, NGOs and governments are pressuring companies to become more sustainable. However, even if some approaches towards sustainability are identified from a company’s perspective, how different SC actors implement sustainability is still not clear. Asymmetries in the application of sustainability practices could exist between focal-companies and suppliers due to the complexity of managing extended SCs. This paper aims therefore at investigating the adoption of sustainability practices along the whole SC, by considering the perspective of different actors and analysing how SC complexity can impact on these choices.

Abstract
Sustainability is becoming a key aspect to compete in nowadays fashion market since customers, NGOs and governments are pressuring companies to become more sustainable. However, even if some approaches towards sustainability are identified from a company’s perspective, how different SC actors implement sustainability is still not clear. Asymmetries in the application of sustainability practices could exist between focal-companies and suppliers due to the complexity of managing extended SCs. This paper aims therefore at investigating the adoption of sustainability practices along the whole SC, by considering the perspective of different actors and analysing how SC complexity can impact on these choices.Pubblicazioni consigliate
