In this paper some Roman lithic monuments from Non’s Valley (Trentino - Italy), partially or completely unpublished, will be presented. These are four fragmentary altars probably used for funerary purposes and dating back between 1st and 3rd cent. A.D.: an almost complete altar from Portolo (Nanno) with symbols of ax and level; another one without inscription from Romeno; the upper parts of two altars from Romallo. Although no one keeps inscriptions, these stones represent interesting documents about history and culture of the ancient Anaunia. Thanks to these altars, it is possible to identify new sites or push back the chronology of known settlements; to make some hypothesis about production and owners of monuments; to confirm the adherence of the Non’s Valley to the customs and symbolism of the Roman world.
