La “constitución económica” del Mercosur

The purpose of this article is to make a more in-depth study of the causes of the scarce success of the integration process in Mercosur from a particular point of view, i.e. the economic evaluation of the “constitutional quality” of the Agreement, as per the lines of analysis of constitutionaleconomics. The central argument is that Mercosur is paying the price for the deficient quality of its own “economic constitution” and that the unsatisfactory results attained so far should be attributed, at least in part, to this deficiency.
