The town of Sabaudia (Italy), built under Fascism as an agricultural centre in relation to the surrounding territory, become after the War and during the Sixties and Seventies particoularly a famous resort town for the roman intellectuals (the writer Alberto Moravia and the movie maker Pier Paolo Pasolini). Sabaudia’s fame was mostly related to two reasons: the successfull master plan drawn by Luigi Piccinato, taking in great account the beauty of the land (the sandy coast, the lake of Paola and the Circeo promontory) and the establishing of the National Park of Circeo in 1934. Starting from the late Seventies thought and in the Eightes the land around Sabaudia becomes interested by intense phenomena of abusivism, making it necessary to redraw the national park’s borders. The aim of the paper is not to study Sabaudia from a historical point of view, but the physical transformations occurred within the town itself and in the relating territory from the foundation time to today.Pubblicazioni consigliate
