In this book we address the problem of measuring gender equality in Academia with the aim to define and develop a system of gender equality indicators (Unipd-Gei) in Universities and Research Institutions. The research was carried out within the framework of the FP7 Eu GenderTime Project1 (2013-2016), of which the University of Padua is partner (www.gendertime.org). This volume presents the methodological approach and the statistical model at the basis of the Gender Equality Index developed in our research group.

Abstract
