Abstract
In this paper corpora from sources of economic information in English and Italian are explored to investigate metaphors in the discourse of economic crises diachronically with a view to identifying their constitutive, heuristic or exegetic functions. The use of metaphorical terms referring to economic crises is traced to highlight the cognitive dimension of figurative language and its implications in the discourse and popularisation of economics.File in questo prodotto:
