As part of the diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to developmental psychopathology, it is fundamental to define the dysfunctional and functional characteristics of the family (the characteristics of the family in which the child/adolescent lives is a strong predictor of mental health) in order to offer them proper and early interventions. Consequently, it is increasingly necessary to use tools to investigate and attend on the role of parental figures, in parallel with the care of the child psychotherapy. This workshop aims to present different and integrated observa- tional and clinical methods to assess and take care of patients’ psychopathology and family interactions during the development age, from infancy to adolescence. Three interventions (following named) have been though as a way to deeply understand the work with family members by approaching it from the point of view of the both parts: the children (child or adolescent) and the parents.
