Integrated geomatic methodologies for the 3-D survey of “Ex Stazione Frigorifera Specializzata” (Magazzini Generali of Verona, Italy)

This work describes the tri-dimensional survey of “Ex Stazione Frigorifera Specializzata”: the building, located in the area of Magazzini Generali of Verona, was built in 1930 for the storage of fruit and vegetables; in the time was allocated to different uses until the complete neglect. A recent renovation project and functional restoration of the structure, has required the 3-D survey for architectural-engineering purposes. For this reason, geomatic methodologies (classical topography, GNSS and terrestrial laser scanning) were applied and integrated, in order to generate a complete digitized three-dimensional model of a complex structure such as the “Ex Stazione Frigorifera”.
