This paper aims to analyze the automotive sector from the perspective of the required antennas, in the context of current wireless applications and latest technical solutions. In particular, considering an architectural innovation addressing the need for highly integrated services, being proposed by a new cooperation of suppliers and automotive companies, the competitive implications and possible strategic approach and reaction for a leading antenna manufacturer are discussed.
