In recent years teachers and trainers, as well as business professionals, are highly in- terested in sharing and comparing their knowledge with colleagues through participation in virtual communities. Perhaps, this necessity arises from a gap between theory and practice that these pro- fessionals have to manage every day, and that current lifelong learning activities cannot fulfill. This paper explores the virtual Web Knowledge Communities (WKC) and their success factors. The goal is to shed light on characterizing WKC aspects and on the participation successful factors among participants in these contexts, in order to avoid an oversimplification, therefore allow to take the opportunities offered by the new virtual environments of interaction by teachers-users.
