When the Cesare Lombroso Museum was inaugurated in November 2009, a «No Lombroso» cartel of Neo-Bourbon associations and other political parties in the south of Italy initiated a protest against the «Horror Museum» in Turin. They asked for Giuseppe Villella's skull - the basis of the Museum's collection, used by Lombroso as scientific evidence of an «atavistic criminal» - to be repatriated for burial in his native town of Motta Santa Lucia (CZ, Calabria). My multisited fieldwork on the online and onground sites of the No Lombroso protest began in the summer of 2011. In these fieldwork notes, I present a concise chronological account of the development of the protest, as a result of the data collected on the online social network of the No Lombroso movement from September 2012 to March 2014. This preliminary ethnographic description allows one to focus on the production of a new identitarian rhetoric of political movements in the south of Italy.
