The synthesis and the local anesthetic properties of some N‐disubstituted 4,5′‐dimethylangelicin glycinamides are described. The new compounds possess good activity in surface, infiltration and conduction anesthesia; in particular the piperidino derivative 2d shows greater anesthetic potency and lower acute toxicity then the reference standard Iidocaine. Abstract
