The paper deals with the coupling of the simulations of different steps in manufac- turing process chains. The focus is on process chains that are typically used in near-nett-shape manufacture of metal parts where hot-deformation operations are followed by controlled cooling from forming to room temperature. The roles that material testing and physical simulation experiments play today in simulations sys- tems are presented and discussed.

Abstract
The paper deals with the coupling of the simulations of different steps in manufac- turing process chains. The focus is on process chains that are typically used in near-nett-shape manufacture of metal parts where hot-deformation operations are followed by controlled cooling from forming to room temperature. The roles that material testing and physical simulation experiments play today in simulations sys- tems are presented and discussed.File in questo prodotto:
