This paper provides some additions and corrections to a previous article on the text of the Commentary to Matthew by Origen. For the books XII- XVII we have at our disposal not only the Greek text directly transmitted (Gr) but also an ancient Latin translation (L). Moreover a brief but relevant fragment of the book XIII was discovered some years ago in a palimpsest of Grottaferrata (P). Focusing on the different transpositions of text between Greek and Latin, this paper confirms that the original text was longer than the transmitted one and that Gr and L represent two abbreviated and autonomous redactions. On the contrary it cannot be affirmed that also P transmits an abbreviated redaction, as the author had previously suggested. The next critical edition shall consider Gr as an independent text, restoring it without using L to systematically correct it.

Abstract
The next critical edition shall consider Gr as an independent text, restoring it without using L to systematically correct it.Pubblicazioni consigliate
