An analysis based on a simple hydrodynamic model of the annular flow pattern and on the momentum and heat transfer analogy is presented for forced convection condensation of pure saturated vapors inside tubes. Making use of a multiple linear regression analysis, it is shown how the results of this theory can be well represented, in respect to local heat transfer coefficients, by a very simple dimensionless equation, over a wide range of the parameters affecting the phenomenon. This equation, which can further be extended to the evaluation of mean heat transfer coefficients, is shown to fit satisfactorily with experimental data both from the authors and from other laboratories.

Abstract
An analysis based on a simple hydrodynamic model of the annular flow pattern and on the momentum and heat transfer analogy is presented for forced convection condensation of pure saturated vapors inside tubes. Making use of a multiple linear regression analysis, it is shown how the results of this theory can be well represented, in respect to local heat transfer coefficients, by a very simple dimensionless equation, over a wide range of the parameters affecting the phenomenon. This equation, which can further be extended to the evaluation of mean heat transfer coefficients, is shown to fit satisfactorily with experimental data both from the authors and from other laboratories.Pubblicazioni consigliate
