This article reviews the recent experimental results obtained by the ZEUS Collaboration in the study of the decay angular distributions for inelastic photoproduction of J/\psi in ep collisions at HERA. Emphasis will be placed on the comparison between data and theoretical developments in the quarkonium production field.
