Operative hysteroscopy is a new surgical approach which permits performing less invasive surgery "respecting" the anatomic structures, therefore reducing biological, social and health care costs. In the management of submucous and intramural myomas, transcervical surgery plays an important role. Resecting myomas without the dissection of the myometrial subserous layer and avoiding disrupture of the uterine wall ensures a successful pregnancy outcome, liminating the need for elective caesarean section. In this study were enrolled 35 patients which underwent transcervical myomectomy between August 1994- December 1996.

Abstract
Operative hysteroscopy is a new surgical approach which permits performing less invasive surgery "respecting" the anatomic structures, therefore reducing biological, social and health care costs. In the management of submucous and intramural myomas, transcervical surgery plays an important role. Resecting myomas without the dissection of the myometrial subserous layer and avoiding disrupture of the uterine wall ensures a successful pregnancy outcome, liminating the need for elective caesarean section. In this study were enrolled 35 patients which underwent transcervical myomectomy between August 1994- December 1996.File in questo prodotto:
