The BronzeAge site of Masseria Chiancudda (Cisternino - Apulia) yield one amber bead and one glassy faience bead, which can be dated between the Middle Bronze Age3 and the Recent Bronze Age. The amber is of Baltic origin (succinite), whilst the bcacl is in glassy faience, it has a rhomboiJal shapc, it is engraved along the lcngth and at the edges, and it is rerniniscent of characteristic Mycenaean production. The peculiar chcmical composition (Ll\1LK LoioM agnesiurn Loto Pot assium) is found for the first time in Italy, and it suggests a possible Aegean origino.
