The study combines the interactive-relational perspective of developmental psychopathology (Sameroff, Emde, 1989) and the observational paradigms that consider the family interactions as the main interest in the assessment and interventions during the infant development, from early infancy to adolescence (Fivaz-Depeursinge, Corboz-Warnery, 1999). Sepcifically, the adolescents are involved in the separation individuation process and this developmental work is strictly connected to the quality of intercations and relationships between the family members (Marcelli, 1996; Ammaniti, 2002). The research's purpose is to observe according to the Lausanne Trilogue Play paradigm (LTP, Fivaz-Depeursinge, 1999) a clinical sample of adolescents affected by medium-high level of psychopathology, while interacting with theri familiars. The aim is to verify a) if there are specific and peculiar characteristic of the triadic family interactions in this clinical group; b) if there are a presence of risck and protective factors in the family, that could be connected to the adolescent' psychopathology; c) if there are some indication for the individual and family treatment. Qualitative analysis shows that the paradigm of Lausanne Trilogue Play is an important resource in clinical assessment, to identify the limits and resources of both the single individual and family system and to define treatmente and prgnosis lines.
