We show that unless mτ′{less-than or approximate}35 GeV (with possible exceptions in the unlikely case mb′≫mt′), there is a stable charged s-particle in the simplest four-generation SU(n, 1) supergravity model, which may be the low-energy limit of superstrings. A stable charged s-particle contradicts astrophysical data and therefore the existence of a fourth generation can be decided experimentally at the present accelerators. © 1986.

Abstract
We show that unless mτ′{less-than or approximate}35 GeV (with possible exceptions in the unlikely case mb′≫mt′), there is a stable charged s-particle in the simplest four-generation SU(n, 1) supergravity model, which may be the low-energy limit of superstrings. A stable charged s-particle contradicts astrophysical data and therefore the existence of a fourth generation can be decided experimentally at the present accelerators. © 1986.File in questo prodotto:
