Muslim voices, European ears: exploring the gap between the production of Islamic knowledge and its perception

The author analyzes the evolving presence of European Islam, its presence in the public space, and the evolutions of Islamic European theology towards the concept of Europe itself and immigration, conceptualizing its basic elements of change. Following, the different demands of knowledge about Islam, both internal and external to Islamic communities.The third step is to analyze the different kind Islamic voices, and the different European ears, i.e. the selective views on Islam and Muslims, and their feedbacks on Muslim populations
