Tetracyclic furocoumarin (benzofurocoumarins) have been investigated in their DNA-photobinding properties. Denaturation-renaturation experiments demonstrate that no cross-links of DNA chain occurs. Benzofurocoumarin scan be considered as a new class of monofunctional DNA-photobinding agents.

Abstract
