In the present research, the authors examined the contents and the methods of the educational course Music and well-Being (that uses global musical activities based on listening, and on vocal and instrumental production) in order to check its efficiency in improving empathy in a group of four year old children. The results show that the training has been efficient in improving the empathic ability of children towards all emotions considered (joy, sadness, fear, anger) and above all towards emotions of negative hedonic tone.
