Abstract
Some of the main features of Fundamental Plane for elliptical galaxies are recovered as a consequence of Clausius' virial energy properties in a two-componentm system. Mechanical and thermodynamical considerations related to a stellar system embedded in a dark matter halo are taken into consideration, by modelling the two components with two different power-law density profiles and two homogeneous cores. The special configuration of the bright component, which minimizes its kinetic energy, becomes the key in order to understand some scaling relations.File in questo prodotto:
