Abstract: The heterogeneous oxidation of cyclooctene with H2O2 catalysed by Mn-porphyrins embedded in polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) and organically modified silica (ORMOSILS), in the presence of hexafluoroacetone hydrate (HFAH) as co-catalyst, has been studied in supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) at 40 oC and 20 MPa. Complete olefin conversion may be obtained with the formation of cyclooctene oxide as sole product, employing molar ratios of Mn-porphyrin/Substrate/H2O2 of 1:400:2000.
