An algebraic Reynolds stress model has been developed and tested simulating the turbulent flow inside a centrifugal impeller. The prediction of the model are compared with those of other algebraic turbulent stress models, in order to analyse the capability of properly account for effects such as flow curvature, flow separation, and solid wall rotation.

Abstract

An algebraic Reynolds stress model has been developed and tested simulating the turbulent flow inside a centrifugal impeller.
