Two different models of hepatocyte transplantation were used, dividing the study into three groups: (1) intrasplenic hepatocyte transplantation (HcTx) and (2) intraperitoneal hepatocytes attached porcine autologous biomatrix transplantation (PBMHcTx). A standard collagenase technique was used to prepare porcine liver cells. The viability of harvested cells as determined by Trypan blue dye exclusion test was 90%. The hepatocytes were cryopreserved for 1 month using two-step technique5 and thawed at the time of transplantation (75% viability).

Abstract
Two different models of hepatocyte transplantation were used, dividing the study into three groups: (1) intrasplenic hepatocyte transplantation (HcTx) and (2) intraperitoneal hepatocytes attached porcine autologous biomatrix transplantation (PBMHcTx). A standard collagenase technique was used to prepare porcine liver cells. The viability of harvested cells as determined by Trypan blue dye exclusion test was 90%. The hepatocytes were cryopreserved for 1 month using two-step technique5 and thawed at the time of transplantation (75% viability).File in questo prodotto:
