In this work a collection of data, taken from literature, and regarding the fatigue strength of welding joints in duplex stain- less steels, are reported. In particular, experimental results obtained both in the high cycle fatigue (HCF) and in low cycle fatigue (LCF) range are summarized. Finally, the effects of chemical composition and corrosive medium are high- lighted, also by comparing the behaviour of duplex stainless steels with that of other kinds of steels. About the HCF strength, no significant variation were observed in comparison with other types of ferrous alloys since the geometrical discontinuities effect seems to mask the material influence. Instead, more evident is the microstructure and chemical composition influence on the fatigue crack growth. Positive effects are observed with the increase of austenitic phase proportion and Ni content.

Abstract
Positive effects are observed with the increase of austenitic phase proportion and Ni content.Pubblicazioni consigliate
