Abstract

Commerciai tripods are not optimized for acquired images especially in reference to extemal excitations like that of the finger pushing the shot-button or that caused by the induced vibrations of relatively heavy cameras. Based on the results of finite element analysis, this paper proposes an improved stiffuess tripod for image acquisition. The new system was built to verizy the quality improvement of the acquired images. The actual improvement was demonstrated both from qualitative and quantitative points of view by Modulation Transfer Function values resulting from the use of specific software.
