Abstract
An energy-related definition of reactive power is introduced first, which is conservative in every network and applies even under distorted operation. Following, an orthogonal current decomposition is discussed, which makes possible to estimate the contribution of voltage supply and load to the voltage distortion measured at the point of common coupling. Finally, an approach to control a system of distributed harmonic and reactive compensators is presented, which allows cooperative operation of the various units, resulting in optimum performance/cost ratio of the whole compensation system.File in questo prodotto:
