This chapter presents a framework for integrating the multifarious goals of Telecollaboration 2.0, which combines the learning objectives for foreign language learning and new online literacies. It covers three dimensions: the operational, cultural and critical, with particular emphasis on the lattergiven the increasing importance of critical awareness of the social, economic and political dimensions of technology design, use and regulation for individuals and communities. After describing the framework, the authors discuss how task-based language learning, the methodological approach which has characterised telecollaboration, can be integrated with a Pedagogy of Multiliteracies in order to design effective tasks. This discussion is illustrated with practical examples from telecollaboration exchanges the authors have been involved in, particularly the Soliya Connect Program which involves university learners in the US, Europe, Middle East and North Africa.

Abstract
This discussion is illustrated with practical examples from telecollaboration exchanges the authors have been involved in, particularly the Soliya Connect Program which involves university learners in the US, Europe, Middle East and North Africa.Pubblicazioni consigliate
