The Italian journal «La Difesa della Razza» was first published in August 1938, a few months before the introduction of racial laws by the fascist government. This article is concerned with the relationship between juridical prohibition of intermarriages and the forging of new inclusion/exclusion categories of citizenship in the fascist empire, in the specially way it emerges in the contribution of Edoardo Zavattari to the second issue of «La Difesa della Razza»: Italy and Islam face to the racist problem. The key problem is how Fascism can conjugate his international pro-Islamic policy with the racial juridical discrimination of Semitic subjects of the colonial empire. Pointing out the difference between the Koranic versus the Talmudic prescription about interreligious marriages, the Journal's contributor suggests that Muslim subjects could be considered the better allies on fighting the risk of rising meticciato in the future of Italian Empire.

Abstract
Pointing out the difference between the Koranic versus the Talmudic prescription about interreligious marriages, the Journal's contributor suggests that Muslim subjects could be considered the better allies on fighting the risk of rising meticciato in the future of Italian Empire.Pubblicazioni consigliate
