Abstract
The cyclical efficiency of traditional and condensing boilers can be mathematically defined by its experimental efficiency at full load, for a given return water temperature and by its experimental stand-by losses, considering not only the boiler but its actual regulation system too. To simulate a boiler in a domestic heating plant and to calculate its seasonal efficiency a sinusoidal variation of loads during the season, from zero to a maximum value, can be assumed.
