Abstract
From geometric representation we move on to investigate the problems relating to the study, analysis and documentation of architectural space (supported, when possible, by controls conducted on project drawings and/or historical surveys): solving some prejudices about the study of geometry and instead recognizing the enormous value of Euclidean, projective and topological geometry for the training of architect and engineer, we propose a methodology for teaching students bring to the knowledge of architectural space through the study of geometric space. In this investigation the description of architectural space via surfaces configuration, that define it, is of particular importance. Considering architecture as spatial transformation and qualification, its surfaces take on a rather important role, that of interacting with the structure itself and with its evolution.Pubblicazioni consigliate
