Il sistema acciaio-vetro della "Facciata G" della Bibliotheque-Mediatheque Marguerite Yourcenar (Parigi)

This report describes how the authors developed and designed the steel-glass system named “G façade” (Fig. 1), for the “Bibliotheque-Mediatheque Marguerite Yourcenar” (Paris). The system was recently built by the Italian company Lorenzon Techmec System and comprises a tubular steel-structure that supports an aluminium-glass façade. The steel- structure, and its connections, were designed through the use of a 3D geometrical representation that focused on reduced tolerances in a very narrow installation site.
