This paper presents the development of a previous work by the same authors [1]. A physically-based sound synthesis software for the evaluation of bell acoustic features is introduced, which uses a set of parameters (modal frequencies and modal weights) extracted from a bell profile through finite element analysis. First, a brief overview on bell acoustic features is given. Numerical simulations are presented along with the description of the sound synthesis algorithm and its implementation. An application of the described procedure starting from real bell profiles provided by Fonderia Colbachini (Padova) completes the paper.

Abstract
This paper presents the development of a previous work by the same authors [1]. A physically-based sound synthesis software for the evaluation of bell acoustic features is introduced, which uses a set of parameters (modal frequencies and modal weights) extracted from a bell profile through finite element analysis. First, a brief overview on bell acoustic features is given. Numerical simulations are presented along with the description of the sound synthesis algorithm and its implementation. An application of the described procedure starting from real bell profiles provided by Fonderia Colbachini (Padova) completes the paper.File in questo prodotto:
