In everyday memory social context,autobrographical memory has a series of important functions related to how a person remembers his or her life and uses it in the present.In this chapter we review some basic aspects of autobiographical memory and reminisence focusing on what we have termed "memory sensitivity".In the first part of this chapter we examine the issues releted to memory sensitivity, its role in autobiographical memory and its relationship with other functions.In the second part we present a research programme that explored some characteristics and implications of MS.
