Unexpected interventricular septal hematoma after ventricular septal defect closure: Intraoperative echocardiographic early detection

Routine intraoperative transesophageal echocardiographic monitoring allowed immediate detection of intraventricular hematoma that was promptly treated by simple needle drainage after weaning off cardiopulmonary bypass.
