Abstract

This paper considers a wireless system where there is the contemporary presence of orthogonal resources, obtained by FDMA or TDMA techniques, and mutually interfering resources, obtained by SDMA or CDMA techniques in case of non ideal channel/receiver. Modelling the network using a Markov chain approach and generalizing the concept of call admission control (CAC) strategy, we are able to propose and evaluate in closed form different queuing policies. To maximize the outage probability of the systems a new queuing policy is proposed. The numerical comparison between existing CAC techniques and the proposed one is given in term of outage probability of the systems.
