Abstract

Perceptual science has the important task of explaining why phenomenal objects occur in the phenomenal field. The occurrence of phenomenal objects may be induced or self-induced. It is shown that such occurrences are intractable by experimental phenomenology. It is concluded that experimental phenomenology can only study interactions between phenomenal entities after these entities have occurred.
