The article reports on how language corpora were used in past academic years to teach English for Specific Purposes (ESP) to students of Law and Journalism at the University of Padua. The first part of the article introduces corpora and corpus linguistic methodologies, while the second part describes practical applications to language teaching at a university level. Finally, the article discusses some implications for other university courses on English and other Languages for Specific Purposes (LSP).
