2022 Report on Open Access publishing at the University of Padua (2019-2022) - Rapporto 2022 sull’Open Access nell’Università degli Studi di Padova

ITA Delineati i principali concetti riguardanti Open Access e Open Science, sono passate in rassegna alcune azioni e policy dell’Università di Padova correlate a queste tematiche. Vengono presi in esame i dati, dal 2019 al 2022, disponibili nella banca dati Clarivate InCites e relativi alla produzione di contributi scientifici dell’Ateneo indicizzati in tutti gli indici di Clarivate Web of Science. Si passa poi ad analizzare, su più livelli e partendo dal contesto locale, il fenomeno dei contratti trasformativi Open Access, evidenziando criticità e opportunità future. Sulla base dei dati analizzati è possibile delineare alcuni scenari di adozione di modelli di Accesso Aperto sostenibili per l’istituzione. ENG This report focuses on Open Access (OA) publishing at University of Padua (Italy) for the years 2019-2022. It describes the main concepts of Open Access and Open Science, and introduces the actions and policies of the University of Padua related to these issues. Scholarly publications data were extracted from Clarivate InCites, a data analytics tool based on the complete set of indexes from Clarivate Web Of Science. InCItes data were enriched with OA Read & Publish agreement dashboards available to the approval managers of the University of Padua. Starting from the local context, the technical paper introduces the OA model of Transformative Agreements and highlights its critical issues and future opportunities. On the basis of the analysis made, the report outlines some scenarios for the adoption of Open Access models sustainable for the institution.
