The principle of passivity theorized and adopted by Antonio Rosmini (1797-1855) informs not only his asceticism but also the philosophical method he embraces: it invests gnoseology and ontology and, from here, it reverberates on the approach chosen to investigate the complex world of politics and law. On the basis of this assumption, in the book we follow an itinerary that examines different facets of the political and legal experience as it has been investigated by the Roveretano's refined acumen: from the relations between the philosophy of politics and the philosophy of law to the nexus between politics and desire, from the person in his or her sociable incommunicability to the threads that link invisible society and visible society and are revealed in rights and law, to to the more doctrinaire issues inherent in despotism, the nation and reason of state.

Abstract
The principle of passivity theorized and adopted by Antonio Rosmini (1797-1855) informs not only his asceticism but also the philosophical method he embraces: it invests gnoseology and ontology and, from here, it reverberates on the approach chosen to investigate the complex world of politics and law. On the basis of this assumption, in the book we follow an itinerary that examines different facets of the political and legal experience as it has been investigated by the Roveretano's refined acumen: from the relations between the philosophy of politics and the philosophy of law to the nexus between politics and desire, from the person in his or her sociable incommunicability to the threads that link invisible society and visible society and are revealed in rights and law, to to the more doctrinaire issues inherent in despotism, the nation and reason of state.Pubblicazioni consigliate
