Abstract

Defining the stressors coming to the individual from environment as possible sources of satisfaction (eustressors) and possible sources of dissatisfaction (distressors), we intend to verify if this distinction, based on the individual’s possibility of answering in an adaptive way can be assimilated to Herzberg’s distinction between factors of higyene and motivators. This research analyses the relationship between stress and satisfaction in the primary school teacher’s work, to determine the degree of satisfaction and the type of influence that the sources of eustress and distress have on different indexes of satisfaction/dissatisfaction used by us.
