The book focuses on the recent pattern of growth in advanced economies and the Us in particular centered on ICTs (Information and Communication Technologies). It argues that it reached maturity during the 1990s expansion and to a large extent explains that expansion. Part 1 presents the fundamentals of the theoretical approach in the more general framework of Demand-Led growth. Part 2 focuses on the “fabulous decade” presenting an interpretation that brings together aspects usually kept separate (except for the link provided by productivity growth). Part 3 elaborates on the long-term consequences.
