Anorexia and Bulimia, Research and Therapies

This contribution critically reviews various theoretical and clinical models that have been applied to the study of eating disorders and, using a relational perspective, it provides an original and alternative conceptualization of the motivation for change. In particular, the author confronts the numerous philosophical, conceptual, diagnostic and treatment controversies that exist within the field in a very engaging and descriptive style and provide a new framework for treating eating disorders starting from a socio-costructionist perspective.
